‘Angry dont help’

So much wisdom from my 4 year old.
Earlier, I was so stressed out about every little thing, i felt irritable, tired, exhausted…

On our way to the car Noah dropped his dinosaur toy on the ground- it was wet and dirty. It made me so mad and started telling him off. When we got in the car, Noah was looking at me teary eyed and said “Angry dont help mommy” (he meant Anger doesn’t help)

What great wisdom coming from my boy!

Thank you thank you Lord for reminding me through Noah to be slow to become angry and give all my cares and anxieties and worries upon you.

We hugged and I felt better. All the stress evaporating.

James 1:19-20 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

Our kids will be kids, they will be hyper and carefree, so stress not as long as they’re not doing anything bad  or dangerous, let them play and have fun. And if they do something that makes us angry- remember “Angry dont help” (Noah’s very own words) insead of shouting, yelling at them and telling them off out of anger- take a deep breath and talk to our kids calmly, with authority and love.

Are you stressed out today? Take time to pray and seek God through His Word.
