Right on time. Just as expected. “Hello Period!” Sorry to be TMI but I promise, this is worth sharing…
I had to tell Noah, not because he’s interested in the female monthly cycle at 4 years old, but because he has been praying oh so consistently to God to put two babies in mommy’s tummy. So excited in fact that he kept asking which month they were going to come out and he kept checking if my tummy was getting bigger every day (it does, but not because of babies but because of those darn salted egg potato chips 🙈)
Mommy: Noah, mommy’s on her period, that means no babies in my tummy.
Noah: (really sad) No babies? Jesus forgot us?
What an honest reaction from my 4 year old! He immediately assumed that just because God did not answer his prayer, that Jesus forgot about him already… How many of us feel the same way when God does not answer our prayers the way we want? We think and feel that God doesn’t listen or he doesn’t love us enough?
If you do like most of us, let me share with you what I told noah.
Mommy: “No anak, ofcourse Jesus did not forget us. He just knows what’s best for us and maybe He wants us to learn to be patient and to wait for His perfect time. His timing is always perfect you know.”
(Noah being the 4 year old smart boy that he is, answered…)
Noah: is that 2pm mommy? (God’s perfect time daw?) 🙄
Let us wait patiently for the Lord, not just for the answers to our prayers but for Him. Whatever it is we desire or ask for in prayer, nothing will give us more joy than getting God Himself. To experience His love. He is the ultimate reward.
I do desire more babies after Noah, but I want God more than that and I will trust that He truly knows what we need and what’s best for us. So however He answers our prayers, trust in Him, continue to seek Him, to pray to Him, to know more about Him so we can truly see that Our God is a good Father! He knows what we need even before we ask Him.
When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3 NIV
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. “If you love me, keep my commands. John 14:13-15 NIV
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12 NIV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
I agree his timing is always perfect, kahit gaano katagal laging perfect timing. If hindi nya binigay sayo. It means may reason sya kung bakit hindi nangyari yung mga plano mo….
