Not Fairy Tales

Have you ever heard the story of Noah’s Ark? Joseph the Dreamer? David and Goliath? Samson and Delilah? Gideon? Esther? Ruth? Daniel and the Lions? And Noah’s current favorite: Jonah and the Big Fish.

Oh I love Bible stories, and unlike Cinderella or other fairy tales, these stories actually happened!

Can you imagine the Red Sea Parting? Or Jonah inside the Big Fish for 3 days? Seems Impossible right? But you see with God nothing is impossible.

Earlier at church, our pastor shared how in all of these stories, God’s ways always seems impossible and difficult to understand. For example, the story of Gideon (Judges 6) you have to read it! (More exciting than any action film around!) Gideon was the least in the weakest clan of Israel, yet God chose him to save Israel from the Midianites. Fast forward, Gideon set off with 32,000 men but God told him to bring only 300 men to battle against Thousands of men (thick as locust) which means too many to count! Imagine 300 against whattt??? And yet God delivered the Midianites, Amalekites and the rest of the other armies into Israel’s hands through the weak Gideon and his 300 men! Amazing right?

In human’s understanding, that would have seemed impossible. There seems to be a better plan and yet God shows us through these stories that His plan even if it seems impossible is still better than Man’s plan. And He does it so that we can see that it is only through Him that we can conquer anything and not through our own strength or abilities.

So whatever you are going through now, however difficult remember trust in God. Follow His ways and His plans, they seem hard but trust that it is the best and you will come out victorious if you do it God’s Way.

God does whatever He pleases. But trust that whatever He does will be good because He is a Good God!

Hallelujah!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways ,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9

Trust in Him today. Let Him come to your rescue and surrender all your plans. Repent. Believe and allow God to transform your life today.
